M.K.J. BIO/HIGHLIGHTS
• Malik Kiambe Johnson, a.k.a. M.K.J., is a gospel rapper born and
raised in Memphis TN
• He's also a community activist with the group, The Big 7
• At age six he became a Christian at Breath of Life Christian
Center where he serves now as the children's church youth
minister
• In 2006 he totally sold out to Christ which reignited his
childhood love for rap music and began writing and composing
k At age 14, he recorded and released his first single, "Im A
Shine", which received radio play on the local gospel station
95.7 FM
• Since that time, he's ministered/performed at over 300 events
at various venues around the country and has been blessed to
have graced the stage with other great artist such as Canton
Jones, Young Noah, Stephen Wiley, BB Jay, Shea Norman,
just to name a few
• He has been featured on television shows such as "The Holllywood AC Show", "One
Accord Ministries Broadcast, Gospel Beats Videos, Action News 5 and ABC Local 24
• He's been a guest speaker at: LeMoyne-Owen College, Whitney Elem, WEB Dubois
Entrepreneurship School, Memphis Business Academy, just to name a few.
• In 2012 he made the TCAP song for Memphis Business Academy
• He has worked with the Memphis Music Commission and in December 2014 his
Christmas song "Bring Back Joy" receieved radio play on 89.3 FM
• In 2015, he made a "Stash The Trash" song and music video for the Fedex Corporation
which was viewed by over 10,000 people
• He's performed at major events such as the UniverSOUL Circus and the NAACP
Banquet
• He has released over 10 music videos, of which all have reached between 3,000 to
70,000 views on Youtube and Facebook
• He has surrendered his life, even his own initials, to stand for "My King Jesus", to
minister the gospel to the streets, and even more specifically, to the youth. He
believes in investing in the youth because they are the next generation that MUST be
captured to leave a mark on those left behind during the great tribulation
• On October 15, 2011, he started his very own record label, "10:15 Records", where the
mission/vision is "Bringin' Da Good News Thru Good Music" (Romans 10:15)
